Responsibilities
- Drive technical initiatives across the company, including system architecture design for agent infrastructure scaling (tradeoffs between speed, reliability, and complexity).
- Own hard technical problems and highest-stakes ambiguous projects.
- Identify system gaps proactively and build cases for addressing them.
- Set standards for code review, system design, and operational excellence.
- Work across team boundaries, mentor engineers through collaboration, and be responsible for outcomes beyond individual output.
Requirements
- 7+ years of backend engineering experience with track record of leading complex projects.
- Strong opinions on system design with ability to articulate tradeoffs.
- Ability to turn vague problems into clear technical approaches independently.
- Write excellent code and maintain high standards without bottlenecking.
- Energized by hard problems, comfortable with uncertainty, hands-on coding.
- Experience building scalable systems and understanding scaling challenges.
