Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of the platform and related services.
- Create and maintain backend Java services using Java, Spring Boot, and AWS.
- Design backend data storage systems.
- Build and maintain unit and integration tests using test automation tools and frameworks.
- Review code, provide constructive feedback, and uphold coding standards.
- Contribute to architecture and technical vision discussions.
- Improve platform performance, reliability, security, and software development processes.
- Address technical debt and refactor code.
- Triage and patch backend service issues.
- Support SDLC practices, Git version control, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Work with microservices, event-driven architecture, and containerization technologies.
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and training of team members.
Requirements
- 3+ years of software development experience.
- Proficiency in Java and strong working experience with Python.
- Familiarity with Spring Boot.
- Experience designing and delivering RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Strong experience with ETL processes, data integration, and data pipeline development.
- Working knowledge of Docker and modern CI/CD practices.
- Experience managing software projects in an Agile environment.
- Understanding of software architecture, performance optimization, secure coding practices, and production operations.
- Experience with system monitoring, troubleshooting, incident management, and highly available production environments.
- Ability to independently manage projects from requirements gathering through client communication.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, client-facing, and conflict-resolution skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience managing full-stack teams.
- Background in fintech, enterprise SaaS, or regulated technology environments.
- Familiarity with AWS or Azure.
