QA Engineer - Core Database
Build and improve automated testing frameworks and infrastructure for ClickHouse’s open-source database and cloud service. The role requires strong SQL and Python skills, database or distributed-systems QA experience, release engineering knowledge, and production debugging ability.

Responsibilities
- Build and enhance test automation frameworks and develop automated test cases.
- Test new features and ensure they are released smoothly to production.
- Test cross-functional implementations across internal engineering teams.
- Implement testing strategies and automation for large, complex distributed systems.
- Evaluate new ClickHouse functionality for each release and identify improvement opportunities in the existing codebase.
- Engineer and improve testing infrastructure.
Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of SQL.
- Experience in a similar SDET, release engineering, or QA role involving a classical database or distributed system.
- Hands-on coding experience with Python.
- Ability to read C++ code for validation.
- Working knowledge of Git, Linux, and shell scripting.
- Experience with both manual and automated testing.
- Strong production debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with remote and cross-functional engineering teams.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to learn complex technologies quickly.
