Responsibilities

  • Lead the design direction for foundational payments, billing, and monetization experiences across consumer and enterprise products.
  • Design and ship end-to-end product experiences, from early systems and interaction concepts through high-fidelity prototypes and production-ready designs.
  • Shape infrastructure and product frameworks supporting emerging AI usage models, including pay-as-you-go, Codex usage, and agentic work.
  • Partner with engineering, product management, finance, and design teams on platform strategy, roadmap development, and execution priorities.
  • Translate platform dependencies, financial logic, and technical constraints into clear, trustworthy, and scalable user experiences.
  • Conduct user research on pricing evaluation, usage tracking, billing management, and purchasing decisions.
  • Contribute to design systems, patterns, and principles for payments and monetization.
  • Help establish design culture for a growing foundational product area.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Strong systems-thinking ability connecting user experiences to platform, business logic, and technical architecture.
  • Experience designing complex, infrastructure-adjacent, platform, or enterprise products.
  • Strong UX/UI and interaction design skills with a high bar for quality, clarity, and craft.
  • Ability to lead ambiguous product areas, develop vision, and shape roadmaps with product and engineering partners.
  • Ability to communicate complex decisions and tradeoffs clearly to technical, business, and design stakeholders.
  • Experience with payments, billing, pricing, monetization, or usage-based products, or strong platform-design experience applicable to those challenges.
  • Ability to work within, improve, and contribute to a shared design system.
