Fab Software Engineering Intern
Build full-stack applications, tooling, and infrastructure for a software-defined semiconductor fab, including equipment control and process data analysis. The internship requires strong systems programming skills, hands-on project experience, and a portfolio of software work.

Responsibilities
- Develop frontend and backend data-driven applications to run the semiconductor fab.
- Build software for sequencing and controlling fab operations.
- Create tools and infrastructure for a software-defined semiconductor fabrication facility.
- Support control of semiconductor fabrication equipment and data analysis for process development.
Requirements
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or demonstrating exceptional software engineering skill.
- Strong programming skills in Rust and Go or TypeScript, with a willingness to learn.
- Strong understanding of systems fundamentals, including memory, performance, and concurrency.
- Experience building non-trivial software projects from scratch, whether personal, academic, or professional.
- Portfolio demonstrating software engineering ability and curiosity; a GitHub portfolio is acceptable.
- Interest in databases, visualization, or data processing pipelines.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Figma, Blender, CAD tools, KiCad, or scientific computing environments.
- Familiarity with schema evolution, database migrations, or serialization formats such as Protobuf.
- Understanding of collaborative or distributed systems, including CRDTs, OT, or WebSockets.
- Exposure to advanced 2D/3D visualization, simulation, or novel user interfaces.
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly compensation equivalent to an annualized range of $114,000–$131,000, depending on experience and education; actual earnings vary with hours worked.
