Staff UX Researcher, Payments Growth

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end guest payments research and prioritize research across multiple workstreams.
• Plan and execute foundational and evaluative research that shapes strategy and improves payments product experiences.
• Balance rapid studies with deeper research while maintaining quality.
• Combine qualitative and quantitative data to understand payments experiences and translate complex findings into actionable narratives.
• Communicate insights clearly and persuasively with stakeholders at all levels, including senior executives.
• Partner with Product, Design, Business Operations, and Data Science teams to shape strategy.
• Facilitate brainstorming sessions and workshops that support research-backed product decisions.
• Travel to the San Francisco office and attend offsites as agreed with the manager.

Requirements

• 10+ years of research experience.
• Deep expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methods.
• Mastery of mixed-methods research, including designing, conducting, and integrating quantitative and qualitative studies.
• Ability to perform statistical analysis and design and analyze surveys.
• Experience leading foundational qualitative studies.
• Experience with payments, fintech, or other high-trust, complex financial domains.
• Track record of influencing product and executive stakeholders through clear, compelling storytelling.
• Strong multitasking and project management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects at different stages and improve research efficiency.
• Experience leading stakeholder workshops and brainstorming sessions.

Compensation and Benefits

• Base pay range: $180,000–$224,000 USD.
• May be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
