Responsibilities

  • Contribute to team strategy, roadmap, tooling, processes, and culture.
  • Scope, design, implement, and deploy robust solutions while balancing reliability, throughput, latency, resiliency, engineering velocity, and cost.
  • Design and implement software solutions that improve infrastructure resiliency, reliability, efficiency, and management at scale.
  • Uphold high engineering standards and improve codebases and processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in software development.
  • 5 years of experience developing, maintaining, and debugging distributed systems built with open-source tools.
  • 5 years of experience building infrastructure as a product centered around user needs.
  • 5 years of experience scaling distributed systems.
  • 5 years of experience breaking down large, complex systems.
  • 5 years of experience identifying shortcomings and optimization opportunities and making data-driven cost-performance tradeoffs.
  • 5 years of experience building and operating infrastructure and tools that empower developers.
  • 5 years of experience working in a development team using AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, or Google Cloud.
  • 5 years of experience with Ruby, Go, Python, or Java.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base salary: $206,086–$285,600 per year.
  • Additional benefits may include equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses, a 401(k) plan, medical, dental, and vision benefits, and wellness stipends.
