Impact/Responsibilities
- Work on impactful customer technical projects: designing/building reference architectures, creating how-to's, productionalizing use cases.
- Collaborate with engagement managers to scope professional services work with customer input.
- Guide strategic customers on big data projects, 3rd party migrations, end-to-end design/build/deployment of big data and AI applications.
- Consult on architecture/design; bootstrap/implement projects to drive Databricks adoption.
- Provide escalated support for customer operational issues.
- Work with Databricks technical team, Project Manager, Architect, and Customer team to deliver technical components.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Customer Support for product feedback and issue resolution.
What We Look For/Requirements
- 6+ years experience in data engineering, data platforms & analytics.
- Comfortable writing code in Python or Scala.
- Working knowledge of two or more cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP) with expertise in at least one.
- Deep experience with distributed computing using Apache Spark and knowledge of Spark runtime internals.
- Familiarity with CI/CD for production deployments.
- Working knowledge of MLOps.
- Design and deployment of performant end-to-end data architectures.
- Experience with technical project delivery, managing scope and timelines.
- Documentation and white-boarding skills.
- Experience working with clients and managing conflicts.
- Build skills for Databricks solution deployment/integration.
- Travel to customers 20% of the time.
- Databricks Certification.
