Responsibilities
- Lead customer technical projects delivering production-grade systems, reference architectures, custom applications, data ingestion, and ML/AI model integrations.
- Guide strategic customers through end-to-end design, development, deployment, evaluation, and adoption of data and AI applications.
- Advise customers on architecture and design; bootstrap and implement customer projects.
- Own architecture and design decisions, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with customer needs and Databricks best practices.
- Collaborate with technical teams, project managers, architects, and customer teams to deliver engagement components.
- Work with engineering and customer support teams to provide product feedback and resolve engagement-specific issues.
- Embed with customer teams and engage stakeholders from technical contributors through executives.
- Create reusable accelerators, frameworks, and best practices that scale across accounts and influence the product roadmap.
- Travel to customer locations 20–25% of the time.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms and analytics, or software engineering.
- Fluency in Python, Scala, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern frameworks.
- Working knowledge of at least two major cloud ecosystems, with expertise in one: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Deep experience with distributed computing using PySpark and Apache Spark, including knowledge of Spark runtime internals.
- Experience with CI/CD for production deployments.
- Working knowledge of MLOps, ML/AI models, and AI APIs.
- Experience designing and deploying performant, production-grade end-to-end data architectures and applications combining data pipelines, ML/AI models, and user-facing interfaces.
- Experience delivering technical projects, documenting solutions, and communicating through whiteboarding.
- Experience working with enterprise clients and managing conflicts across broad stakeholder groups.
- U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a U.S. government Secret clearance are required for classified-information access.
Nice-to-haves
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise data transformation and warehousing within distributed data systems.
- Expertise in MLOps, ML/AI models, and AI APIs.
- Certification in a Databricks-specific domain.
Compensation
- Base salary range: $182,000–$250,208 USD.
- Additional compensation may include an annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits.
