Responsibilities
- Lead customer technical projects delivering production-grade systems, reference architectures, custom applications, data ingestion, and ML/AI model integrations.
- Design, build, and deploy end-to-end data and AI applications for federal government customers using the Databricks platform.
- Own architecture and design decisions, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with customer needs and Databricks best practices.
- Guide customers on architecture and design; bootstrap or implement projects to support evaluation, adoption, and successful outcomes.
- Collaborate with engagement managers, project managers, architects, engineers, customer support, and customer teams to deliver technical components and resolve issues.
- Embed with customer teams, engage stakeholders from technical contributors through executives, and manage technical delivery across stakeholders.
- Integrate with client systems, provide training, document solutions, and contribute implementation feedback.
- Develop reusable accelerators, frameworks, and best practices that scale across accounts and inform the product roadmap.
- Travel to customer locations 20–25% of the time.
Requirements
- Active Secret or Top Secret clearance.
- 6+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms and analytics, or software engineering.
- Fluency in Python, Scala, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern frameworks.
- Working knowledge of at least two major cloud ecosystems, with expertise in at least one: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Deep experience with distributed computing using Apache Spark and knowledge of Spark runtime internals.
- Familiarity with CI/CD for production deployments.
- Working knowledge of MLOps, ML/AI models, and AI APIs.
- Experience designing and deploying performant, production-ready end-to-end data architectures and applications combining data pipelines, ML/AI models, and user-facing interfaces.
- Experience with technical project delivery, documentation, and whiteboarding.
- Experience working with enterprise clients and managing conflicts across broad stakeholder groups.
Nice to Have
- Expertise in MLOps, ML/AI models, and AI APIs.
- Databricks certification.
Compensation
- Annual pay range: $182,000–$250,208 USD.
- Compensation may also include an annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits.
