About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop containerized microservices for a distributed, multi-tenant system processing real-time events, data, and network telemetry from multiple public clouds.
  • Provide real-time insights, visibility, and security recommendations to help customers identify and minimize cloud risk.
  • Design services, define implementation details, defend architectures before peers, and deliver reliable implementations.
  • Own critical features and subsystems across the software development lifecycle, from requirements clarification through deployment and customer usage.
  • Own operational aspects of services and improve software supportability through hands-on production experience.
  • Maintain code quality through developer testing and functional/integration testing.
  • Partner with Product Management to refine requirements and exceed customer expectations.
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer problems through stakeholder and peer collaboration.
  • Mentor junior engineers, new graduates, and interns.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or an equivalent degree.
  • 4+ years of experience building distributed and scalable software and systems.
  • Experience with Go and SQL.
  • Experience with REST API clients.
  • Extensive API- or programming-level experience with at least one of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience delivering containerized services; the platform is Kubernetes-based.
  • General TCP/IP networking knowledge.
  • Experience in a Unix/Linux programming environment.
  • Passion for software development, continuous learning, and teamwork.

Nice to Have

  • Master's degree.
  • Experience with networking and security controls.
  • Experience with CloudFormation, Terraform, or Ansible.

Compensation

  • Annual salary range: $170,000–$196,000.
