About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop containerized microservices for a distributed, multi-tenant system processing real-time events, data, and network telemetry from public clouds.
  • Provide real-time insights, visibility, and security recommendations to help customers identify and minimize cloud risk.
  • Design services, defend architecture decisions, and deliver robust implementations.
  • Own critical features and subsystems across the full software development lifecycle, from requirements clarification through deployment and customer usage.
  • Own operational aspects of the system and improve software supportability through hands-on operation.
  • Maintain code quality through developer testing and functional and integration testing.
  • Partner with Product Management to refine requirements and understand customer problems.
  • Mentor junior engineers, new graduates, and interns.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent degree.
  • 4+ years of experience building distributed and scalable software and systems.
  • Experience with Go and SQL.
  • Experience with REST API clients.
  • Experience using AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud at the API or programming level.
  • Experience delivering containerized services is desired.
  • General TCP/IP networking knowledge.
  • Unix/Linux programming environment experience.
  • Passion for software development, continuous learning, and teamwork.

Nice to Have

  • Master's degree.
  • Experience with networking and security controls.
  • Experience with CloudFormation, Terraform, or Ansible.

Compensation

  • Annual salary range: $170,000–$196,000.
  • This position involves access to software and technology subject to U.S. export controls.
