Responsibilities
- Partner with DevOps and application engineering teams to design and improve standardized infrastructure, deployment workflows, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Build, operate, and improve containerized infrastructure for reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Define Kubernetes best practices and support adoption across engineering teams.
- Manage and evolve AWS cloud infrastructure, including compute, networking, and storage systems.
- Improve observability, monitoring, and incident readiness across production systems.
- Participate in a shared on-call rotation of approximately one week every five weeks.
- Mentor teammates and improve engineering practices and operational maturity.
- Improve developer workflows and reduce deployment and infrastructure friction.
- Contribute to infrastructure documentation and internal enablement.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, infrastructure, or platform engineering.
- Strong production experience with Kubernetes.
- Experience with infrastructure as code, such as Terraform.
- Solid AWS experience, including services such as EKS, S3, IAM, RDS, VPC, and Route 53.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with containerized systems such as Docker and containerd.
- Familiarity with cloud security best practices and shift-left security principles.
- Experience operating and scaling high-traffic systems and large-scale data platforms in production.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and system-design skills.
- Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders in a distributed environment.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with GitHub Actions, CircleCI, Jenkins, or Argo CD.
- Familiarity with Helm, Argo CD, and Karpenter.
- Experience improving monitoring, alerting, and logging systems.
- Interest in evaluating and adopting technologies that provide clear value.
Compensation
- Ireland: €95,000–€110,000 annually, depending on experience.
- Bulgaria: €6,000+ gross per month, depending on experience.
