Responsibilities
- Build and enhance the Arcus mobile application using React Native.
- Own mobile features end to end, from architecture and implementation through testing, release, and maintenance.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver intuitive, performant mobile experiences.
- Help define the technical direction and architecture of the mobile platform.
- Improve application performance, reliability, observability, and developer experience.
- Work with technologies interfacing with blockchain networks, wallets, and decentralized protocols.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver trading experiences on mobile.
Requirements
- Demonstrated technical excellence and experience shipping high-quality mobile applications at scale.
- Strong experience building and maintaining production React Native applications.
- Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Deep understanding of mobile application architecture, state management, networking, performance optimization, and testing.
- Experience publishing and supporting applications on both iOS and Android.
- Strong product sense and attention to user experience details.
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and complex systems.
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, including significant mobile application development.
- Experience collaborating with designers, product managers, and backend engineers in fast-paced environments.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience building financial, trading, fintech, or security-sensitive applications.
- Native iOS development with Swift and/or Android development with Kotlin.
- Experience with React Query, Redux, Zustand, or similar state management solutions.
- Experience building highly performant real-time applications.
- Experience with crypto wallets, blockchain technologies, or DeFi products.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and mobile release processes.
- Experience mentoring engineers and influencing technical direction.
- Computer science degree or equivalent practical experience.
Compensation
- Salary range: $210,000–$270,000 USD annually in New York.
- Compensation varies based on experience and location; additional variable compensation may include merit increases, bonus eligibility, commission, or equity incentives.
