About the role
Responsibilities
Own the full FP&A cycle — reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis — with narrative depth to help leadership understand what happened, why, and implications for next quarter.
Act as the company’s internal consulting bench — pick up ambiguous, cross-functional problems and run them from problem framing to decision to implementation.
Diagnose beyond the model — trace P&L movements back to business events like comp plan changes, service delivery constraints, product decisions, or team restructures.
Drive action using data for real-time decisions on staffing, pipeline performance, pricing, and resource allocation.
Connect dots across the company — surface insights spanning teams proactively.
Build with a systems mindset — evaluate tools, data infrastructure, and processes for scalability, integration, and impact.
Lead highest-stakes analytical work — unit economics, investment cases, new business models, and deep dives shaping company direction.
Serve as strategic thought partner to SVP of Finance — pressure-test assumptions, flag second-order impacts, and bring rigor to business decisions.
Requirements
8+ years of experience spanning FP&A and Business Operations, ideally including investment banking, management consulting, or BizOps/Strategy & Operations at a scaling company.
Track record owning FP&A cycle end-to-end (reporting, budgeting, forecasting, board-level narrative) at a company with operational complexity.
Deep analytical rigor and experience running ambiguous, cross-functional initiatives from framing to decision.
Lead Narmi's finance and accounting organization as a key member of the leadership team. Own strategic finance, FP&A, accounting, compliance, team building, and partner with founders/board on growth, fundraising, and scaling decisions. Requires 10+ years finance experience including FP&A and controllership in high-growth startups, GAAP fluency, audit experience, and AI-native workflows.
