Responsibilities
- Lead the team responsible for the development of platform services
- Define and execute platform engineering initiatives
- Manage the integration of the application with the infrastructure
- Work with leaders across engineering, operations, product management, and other functions to make decisions critical to features, product releases, and the overall evolution of the platform
- Ensure the correctness, scalability, and modularity of the platform architecture and implementation, as well as its compliance with regulatory standards and security best practices
- Grow and develop the top-notch team that delivers these capabilities, partnering with senior technical leads and cross functional leaders
- Define, manage, and enforce milestone gates to ensure feature completeness and release quality while balancing business concerns with release deadlines
- Deliver on-time releases to some of the largest and most demanding enterprise customers
- Play a critical role in product planning, working closely with senior executives to develop business milestones and resource requirements
- Influence long-term technical and business strategy
Requirements
- Experience with management of 10+ full-time engineers and working globally
- 10+ years in roles of increasing responsibility and technical leadership
- Significant experience building and delivering scalable, cloud-native enterprise SaaS products and services
- Proven track record of taking enterprise software products from inception to customer delivery
- Fluency with modern public cloud infrastructure (particularly AWS and Azure), containerization and orchestration technologies, and DevOps tools and best practices
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, intellectual curiosity, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a passion for bringing a culture of innovation and continuous improvement to product development
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to understand and present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
