Director, Finance Systems - Revenue Systems Engineering
Leads architecture, development, and optimization of global Order-to-Cash revenue systems, integrating billing, ERP, sales, and financial platforms. The role requires extensive revenue systems experience, strong data engineering and API expertise, and the ability to lead ERP transformations and technical teams.

Responsibilities
Revenue Platform Architecture & Development
- Own the revenue systems architecture and development supporting multi-entity operations and global subsidiaries.
- Design and implement scalable data pipelines using dbt and SQL frameworks to transform high-volume financial transactions for low-latency, real-time integrations.
- Build and maintain automated revenue recognition workflows for complex subscription and consumption-based billing models in compliance with ASC 606.
Data Engineering & Pipeline Orchestration
- Modify, enhance, and optimize dbt/SQL data transformation models supporting standardized data flows across accounting, billing engineering, and product teams.
- Establish testing frameworks for data transformations and document results for system integration testing and audit requirements.
Systems Integration & Technical Leadership
- Collaborate with Revenue Accounting, Data Infrastructure, and BizTech teams on enterprise-grade integration patterns.
- Implement automated reconciliation engines for rapid variance detection and reduced manual effort.
- Provide technical expertise during month-end close processes, ensuring reliability and performance during peak transaction volumes.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Develop AI-powered capabilities for discrepancy investigation, automated testing, and self-service analytics.
- Evaluate and implement technologies to modernize integration architecture.
- Establish CI/CD, automated testing, and deployment best practices.
- Mentor team members through technical guidance, code reviews, and documentation standards.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, dbt, workflow orchestration, infrastructure as code, and cloud data warehouses.
- Extensive experience with enterprise billing platforms and revenue recognition requirements, including ASC 606.
- Expert knowledge of ERP systems, including hands-on configuration and integration experience.
- Experience developing APIs and working with REST, SOAP/XML, webhooks, ERP extension patterns, and custom objects.
- Experience with Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Go for integrations, APIs, and ERP extensions.
- Experience leading technical workstreams during ERP transformations or major system migrations.
- Ability to design scalable real-time API and batch-processing architectures for high-volume financial transactions.
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into robust technical solutions aligned with accounting principles and audit standards.
- Understanding of consumption-based pricing, usage metering, and marketplace billing.
- Strong communication skills across Finance, Accounting, Revenue Operations, and Engineering stakeholders.
Nice-to-haves
- 12+ years of experience in revenue systems engineering, with deep hands-on Order-to-Cash (OTC) implementation experience.
- Experience implementing revenue platforms at scale for SaaS or subscription businesses.
- Experience supporting multi-entity, multi-currency financial systems and complex revenue recognition scenarios.
- Experience with CRM/CPQ platforms and integrations between sales systems, billing, and ERP systems.
- Experience with Salesforce CPQ/Revenue Cloud, Zuora, Stripe Billing, and Workday Financials.
- Familiarity with Workday Prism and Oracle Accounting Hub.
- Experience with MuleSoft, Workato, or Boomi; GraphQL; and event-driven architectures.
- Experience with agentic development workflows and AI/LLM integration for financial operations.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and matrix organizations.
- Knowledge of SOX compliance, financial controls, and audit readiness.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience with Airflow, Terraform, BigQuery, Snowflake, or Databricks.
- Experience building Airflow DAGs for financial workflows, including dbt execution, authenticated API calls, and data quality validation.
- Familiarity with Hex, Looker, Tableau, or Power BI for revenue analytics and executive dashboards.
Compensation
- Annual salary: $270,000–$315,000 USD.
