Software Engineer - Defense Applications

Core Responsibilities

• Own user-facing feature additions or enhancements end-to-end
• Work hands-on with customers and forward-deployed engineers to design solutions that deliver rapid value
• Handle shorter project cycles with high individual ownership and flexibility
• Transition quickly from mentee to mentor, building expertise in specific applications and features
• Teach and learn continuously as part of Palantir’s engineering culture
• Form strong convictions quickly while remaining open to revising opinions with new data

Requirements

• 2+ years of frontend software engineering experience
• Strong frontend coding skills with proficiency in JavaScript and understanding of web technologies
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent understanding of algorithms, performance, and systems design
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Eligibility and willingness to obtain a US Security clearance

• React for standard DOM rendering
• Maplibre and/or Three.js for geospatial and 3D rendering
• Redux (various flavors) for state management
• Conjure for API management
• OSDK for interaction with the Foundry platform
• In-house libraries for cross-app messaging, live data streaming, and classification-based access control
