About the role

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a thought partner to the Head of Investor Relations in shaping the priorities and direction of Anthropic's investor relations program.
  • Build strong relationships with senior members of the investment community as their primary point of contact.
  • Draft and refine investor-facing messaging on the company’s financial performance, strategy and progress on key initiatives.
  • Represent Anthropic in investor meetings, answering questions covering the company’s entire business and product suite.
  • Advise leadership on investor sentiment, market expectations, and how key decisions are likely to be received.
  • Develop a view of Anthropic’s shareholder base and how it should evolve, leading investor targeting and outreach accordingly.
  • Track developments across AI and the broader technology landscape, distilling them into concise internal briefings on how the market is thinking about Anthropic and the broader industry.
  • Manage cross-functional initiatives that involve stakeholders across legal, finance, communications and other departments.
  • Prepare the executive team for investor conversations by anticipating likely questions, sharpening key messages, and providing the supporting data.
  • Help build the systems, templates, and processes that let a lean investor relations function operate at scale as the company grows.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience in investor relations, equity research, investment banking, investing, or a comparable capital markets role.
  • Experience synthesizing complex financial and strategic information into written work for sophisticated audiences — research notes, investment memos, investor updates, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated judgment handling confidential and market-sensitive information.
  • Excellent written communication, with the ability to write clearly for readers who have limited time and deep technical questions.
  • Experience interacting directly with institutional investors, analysts, or a company's executive team.
  • Ability to build and maintain financial models, and to translate financial statements and operating metrics into a defensible view of a business.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Depth in technology, software, semiconductors, or AI infrastructure — whether from covering the sector as an analyst, investing in it, or working inside it.
  • Experience owning a sector or company as a lead analyst, or holding comparable ownership of an investment thesis in a buy-side role.
  • Experience at a high-growth technology company as a senior member of the investor relations function.
  • Familiarity with consumption-based, API-first, or enterprise software revenue models.
  • Comfort working directly with executives, board members, and external advisors.
  • Interest in AI safety and enthusiasm for explaining a research-driven company to a financial audience.
