Responsibilities
- Own fire protection engineering for assigned sites: design review, field support, and AHJ coordination.
- Review sprinkler, detection, and special hazard designs against code and the reference design.
- Support field installation and acceptance testing through AHJ sign-off.
- Answer fire protection RFIs fast and route code questions to defensible answers.
Requirements
- Fire protection engineering experience on commercial or industrial projects.
- Ability to review hydraulic calculations and detection layouts and catch errors.
- Experience running acceptance tests with the AHJ in the room.
- Ability to research code questions to primary sources.
Nice-to-Haves
- FPE degree or PE track.
- NICET certifications.
- Special hazard systems experience.
- Data center experience.
