Resident Controls Engineer, Modular R&D
Engineers and validates PLC, BMS, sensor, and I/O controls for modular data centers on a Phoenix production line. The role requires hands-on commissioning, point-to-point checkout, loop checks, factory support, and rapid feedback into design revisions.

Responsibilities
- Engineer and check out controls for modular data center products on the production line, including PLCs, BMS integration, sensors, and I/O.
- Work daily on the Phoenix manufacturing line to identify wiring and I/O issues at their source and disposition them immediately.
- Run point-to-point checkout, loop checks, and first-article functional tests, documenting results for handoff.
- Provide real-time controls support for the factory and resolve controls RFIs from the production floor.
- Feed production findings back into wiring diagrams, control logic, and the bill of materials to prevent recurring defects.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience engineering or commissioning PLC, BMS, or industrial automation control systems.
- Experience performing point-to-point checkout and loop checks on physical panels at production volume.
- Experience working on a shop floor or production line and dispositioning nonconformances.
- Experience supporting production launches or system startups through operational readiness.
- Ability to reconcile discrepancies among drawings, wiring, and control logic while maintaining configuration control.
- Ability to write control logic and validate every cabinet point in person.
Nice-to-haves
- PLC programming with Rockwell or Siemens systems.
- Experience with data center BMS platforms.
- Familiarity with panel and wiring diagram standards.
- Instrumentation expertise.
