Associate Risk Engineer , Executive Risks
Underwrites and analyzes management liability risks for private and nonprofit organizations while building broker relationships and driving business development. Requires 1+ years of specialty underwriting experience and strong sales skills.
Responsibilities
- Underwriting and Risk Analysis: Examines, identifies, and evaluates management liability exposures for private and nonprofit organizations and makes underwriting decisions on accepting, declining, or modifying risks within assigned underwriting authority level in partnership with the underwriting team.
- Broker and Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key brokers, agents, and other business partners through participating in sales and marketing initiatives. Serve as the point of contact for assigned accounts, managing expectations and providing support.
- Business Development: Develop and execute strategies to generate profitable business growth, including identifying opportunities for new business production and cross-selling.
- Operational Tasks: Maintain high quality underwriting and customer service standards. Use underwriting systems to process business efficiently and document underwriting files thoroughly.
Skills and Qualifications
- 1+ years of specialty underwriting experience in Executive Risks is preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred as well as professional designations such as CIC and CPCU
- Strong sales, communication and marketing skills are critical; must be able to demonstrate success with managing tight time frames, high volumes of work, direct agency relationships
Compensation
- The US base salary for this position ranges from $60,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $80,000/year in our highest geographic market. An employee's pay within this range is based on relevant education, skills, job-related knowledge, qualifications, work experience, credentials, and/or geographic location.
