Responsibilities
- Support public sector customers, including U.S. Government agencies under FedRAMP, by troubleshooting issues and translating security/compliance needs.
- Solve complex customer problems and provide ownership/education on platforms.
- Serve as foremost expert on OpenAI products.
- Act as last line of defense before Product/Engineering, partnering to resolve issues.
- Use scripting and AI (e.g., Codex, ChatGPT, OpenAI API) to improve tooling and automate processes.
- Create scalable solutions from customer issues, partnering with product and Go-To-Market teams.
- Orchestrate agentic improvements to operations.
- Foster supportive team culture.
- Provide on-call support, including holidays/weekends.
Requirements
- 8+ years in user operations, technical support, or support engineering, ideally in tech startups.
- Comfortable using emerging tech (Codex, ChatGPT, OpenAI API) to script/engineer code (e.g., Python) for automation.
- Expert-level SaaS troubleshooting; rapid grasp of new tech/concepts.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, communication of technical issues.
- Thrive in ambiguity, adapt to change, build relationships.
- High capacity for context-switching and multiple projects.
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
