Staff Product Engineer

Responsibilities
- Contribute to the technical architecture as the product scales to serve requests from customers worldwide.
- Balance agility with scalability and availability through continuous deployment and incremental, feature-flagged releases.
- Contribute to all phases of software development, including ideation, prototyping, design, and implementation.
- Build both back-end and front-end systems in collaboration with designers, product managers, researchers, and data analysts.
- Provide hands-on development, technical leadership, and architectural guidance.
- Coach and mentor engineers and support their hiring and career development.
- Partner with the Engineering Manager on team development and technical strategy.
- Raise technical standards for performance, reliability, and operational excellence.
Requirements
- Significant demonstrated impact on products and/or engineering teams.
- Deep knowledge of a high-level programming language, such as Ruby, Python, or Perl.
- Experience with distributed systems.
- 2+ years as the primary technical leader for a team.
- Experience collaborating directly with product teams and designers.
- A proven track record of delivering value to customers or users.
- Experience building SaaS products is preferred.
