Responsibilities
- Own fleet orchestration strategy and execution to scale Zoox’s driverless robotaxi and autonomous test fleets across new cities and states.
- Lead the roadmap and execution for cloud systems that orchestrate robotaxi service, including trip-request matching, vehicle charging, demand positioning, and the mobile app experiences they power.
- Partner with Product Software, Product, Data Science, and Fleet Operations teams to deliver improvements for riders and the business.
- Improve routing and mission assignment for the autonomous test fleet to maximize efficient on-road data collection and support new geofences.
- Define orchestration KPIs, build rigorous tracking mechanisms, investigate root causes, and drive data-backed action.
- Evaluate technical trade-offs, develop creative alternatives, and help invent orchestration capabilities for large-scale robotaxi fleets.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 7+ years of technical program management experience.
- Strong background in large-scale cloud software systems, such as dispatch, marketplace, or fleet management platforms, or consumer mobile applications backed by cloud services.
- Technical mindset with strong creative problem-solving abilities.
- Metrics-first approach to program leadership, including defining KPIs, instrumenting them, and using them to drive decisions.
- Ability to translate complex technical bottlenecks into clear, data-backed executive narratives.
Nice to Have
- Experience with fleet orchestration, ride-hailing, delivery, logistics, or real-time marketplace and dispatch systems.
- Familiarity with routing, matching, resource allocation, or demand forecasting optimization problems.
- Experience partnering with teams that build optimization systems.
- Experience with autonomous vehicle platforms or large-scale robotics fleets.
Compensation
- Annual salary range: $186,000–$284,000.
