Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Vision
- Envision and advance Pinterest’s approach to leveraging offsite and onsite signals while anticipating business, technical, and regulatory challenges.
- Drive the creation and evolution of a company-wide signals roadmap aligned with business objectives and technical capabilities.
- Identify opportunities for long-term innovation and differentiation in search and recommendation technologies.
Program Execution & Outcomes
- Oversee company-level programs spanning multiple organizations, managing ambiguity and risk at scale.
- Lead technical execution and delivery of signals initiatives across interconnected projects.
- Develop program metrics and targets, resolving complex technical and program management challenges.
Influence & Cross-Organizational Leadership
- Influence VP- and staff-level stakeholders through thought leadership in program and product management.
- Guide and motivate teams while fostering accountability, inclusion, and high performance.
- Liaise with AI Research and partner organizations to accelerate adoption of LLMs, VLMs, and recommender systems.
Collaboration & Communication
- Communicate signals-program vision and progress to leadership, including the Executive Team.
- Drive consensus and propose tradeoffs across technical, business, and regulatory considerations.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Legal, Privacy, and external data partners.
Technical & Domain Expertise
- Apply technical judgment to complex, cross-organizational challenges involving search, recommendations, ML/AI, and large-scale data integration.
- Author and advance best practices, tools, and methodologies for signals management, data acquisition, and model evaluation.
- Mentor program managers and technical leads.
AI-First Execution & Workflow Design
- Use GenAI to draft charters, roadmaps, status reports, decision memos, and RAID logs.
- Modernize status synthesis, risk and dependency tracking, and intake triage with AI-first mechanisms.
- Prototype lightweight AI-powered helpers for signal-quality monitoring, experiment readouts, and decision-making.
- Follow AI governance and safety-by-design practices, including sensitive-data handling, output validation, and documenting assumptions and limitations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years in technical or analytical roles, including significant company-scale program leadership.
- Experience leading transformational programs with impact on multiple OKRs.
- Deep technical breadth in search, recommendation systems, ML/AI, and large-scale data integration.
- Experience using GenAI for planning, program operations, stakeholder communications, workflow automation, and data analysis.
- Experience with AI governance, risk assessment, sensitive-data handling, model and output validation, and auditability.
- Proven ability to influence VP- and staff-level stakeholders and drive consensus in complex cross-functional environments.
- Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and organizational-awareness skills.
- Experience with legal, privacy, and regulatory compliance in data-driven environments.

Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $163,639–$336,903 USD.
- Eligible for equity.
- Final compensation depends on location, travel, experience, skills, and expertise.
- This position is not eligible for relocation assistance.
- In-person collaboration is required 1–2 times per quarter; the role can be based anywhere in the United States.
