Scientific Program Analyst

Responsibilities

  • Support planning, coordination, evaluation, and communication for clinical research programs.
  • Coordinate program activities, meetings, workshops, conferences, teleconferences, and special projects.
  • Organize agendas, background materials, minutes, action items, deadlines, communications, and project documentation.
  • Track milestones, deliverables, grants, contracts, program activities, and stakeholder progress.
  • Conduct literature, scientific, program, and database searches; manage references and repositories of program resources.
  • Collect, interpret, analyze, and summarize scientific and program data; prepare reports, charts, graphs, tables, abstracts, posters, and presentations.
  • Draft, edit, proofread, and assemble scientific and programmatic documents, correspondence, agendas, reports, and presentation materials.
  • Provide information and responses to principal investigators, program staff, network investigators, stakeholders, and other partners.
  • Support portfolio analysis, clinical research and clinical trial activities, research conduct and compliance, and human subjects research protection.
  • Design, develop, and maintain databases, spreadsheets, presentations, Listservs, and other program-management tools.
  • Analyze program procedures, policies, processes, systems, and activities; recommend improvements and solutions to complex program issues.
  • Provide project management and administrative analysis support for large and complex initiatives.
  • Represent programs at meetings and conferences and deliver formal presentations, posters, and progress reports.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Neuroscience or a related scientific field.
  • Scientific background in neuroscience and clinical research.
  • Knowledge of NIH grants and funding mechanisms and Funding Opportunity Announcements.
  • Knowledge of human subjects research protection and research conduct and compliance.
  • Experience with portfolio analysis, clinical trials, data analysis, scientific literature searches, and program reporting.
  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Excel, WebEx, and Word.
