Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee installation, inspection, and repair of facility equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, fire/life safety, UPS systems, PDUs, switchgear, generators, and cooling infrastructure.
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure continuous operation and regulatory compliance.
- Manage employees, vendors, and contractors, ensuring work meets site requirements and deadlines with proper documentation and escalation protocols.
- Maintain logs, equipment manuals, SOPs, and other technical documentation.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, hazardous-material handling requirements, and emergency-response protocols.
- Monitor BMS/DCIM tools and escalate and resolve alarms or issues.
- Support deployments, installations, and service requests related to physical infrastructure.
- Serve as the escalation point for after-hours facility events and critical incidents.
- Train and mentor junior staff on SOPs and safety protocols.
Requirements
- 5–10 years of experience in mission-critical environments such as data centers, hospitals, or high-availability industrial facilities.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, emergency power systems, electrical distribution, and fire suppression.
- Experience supervising technicians or contractors in high-uptime environments.
- Understanding of UPS systems, power distribution units, transfer switches, and building automation systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, blueprints, and equipment schematics.
- EPA 608 certification, required within 90 days of hire.
- Familiarity with DCIM, BMS, or maintenance platforms such as ServiceNow, MCIM, or Corrigo.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Willingness to be on-call and respond to facility emergencies after hours.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience supporting rapid data center buildouts or greenfield site launches.
- Familiarity with SCADA and PLC systems.
- Experience in hybrid cloud and on-premises compute environments.
- Ability to create and implement Standard Operating Procedures and Emergency Operating Procedures.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional responses to facilities incidents.
- Knowledge of environmental compliance standards related to power and cooling systems.

- Compensation range: $140,000–$194,000 annually, plus bonus.
