- Drive high-impact projects and develop innovative solutions that improve user experience and safety.
- Collaborate with product, design, engineering, policy, and partner teams to deliver solutions aligned with technical and business needs.
- Lead features independently from ideation through execution and launch.
- Unblock, support, and communicate with internal partners.
- Write well-crafted, well-tested, readable, and maintainable code.
- Build robust, scalable solutions using Python, Golang, and AWS.
- Participate in code reviews and on-call rotations.
- Share knowledge through brown bags and technical talks, and promote engineering best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree, or equivalent experience, in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of software engineering industry experience.
- Extensive object-oriented programming experience, preferably with Go or Python.
- Backend development experience with distributed systems and concurrency.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with and influence cross-functional partners.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary: CAD $108,000–$135,000 annually in the Toronto area, excluding potential equity, bonus, and benefits.
