Research & Market Analysis
- Analyze proprietary Forge data to identify trends in private company valuations, liquidity, investor activity, and market performance.
- Conduct quantitative analysis across industries, sectors, and private market cohorts.
- Develop research frameworks, market indicators, and analytical tools to improve understanding of private market dynamics.
- Monitor developments across private markets, venture capital, growth equity, IPO markets, and public equities to identify relevant investment implications.
- Support the creation and maintenance of proprietary benchmarks, indices, and performance metrics.
Content & Thought Leadership
- Produce recurring research publications.
- Translate data and analysis into compelling narratives tailored to different investor audiences.
- Create charts, visualizations, presentation materials, and market commentary for clients, partners, media, and conferences.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Product, and Client Experience teams to develop data-driven thought leadership.
- Respond to requests for market intelligence from internal stakeholders and external clients.
- Contribute to research initiatives supporting new products, investment solutions, and strategic priorities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business, Data Science, or a related discipline.
- 3–7 years of experience in investment research, private markets, equity research, market intelligence, financial data, or related fields.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with experience interpreting large datasets.
- Proficiency in Excel and experience with Python or similar analytical tools.
- Exceptional writing and communication skills, including experience producing research reports, market commentary, or investment-related content.
- Ability to distill complex information into concise, data-driven insights.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience covering venture capital, growth equity, private equity, or alternative investments.
- Familiarity with private company valuation methodologies and secondary market dynamics.
- CFA designation or progress toward the charter.
- Experience presenting research findings to investment professionals, advisors, or clients.
- Knowledge of financial markets, portfolio construction, and investment strategy.
Compensation
- For residents of San Francisco, CA, the annual salary range is $142,000–$180,000, plus annual bonus.
- Final offers may vary based on geography, candidate experience and expertise, bonus, and other factors.
