Member of Technical Staff - Compute Platform

Build the full-stack compute platform for frontier AI workloads, spanning Python services, web interfaces, distributed Rust infrastructure, cloud orchestration, and heterogeneous hardware scheduling. The role requires strong backend, frontend, systems, and infrastructure experience.

Responsibilities

  • Build web interfaces for AI workload management and monitoring.
  • Develop REST APIs and backend services in Python.
  • Create real-time monitoring and debugging tools.
  • Implement user-facing features for resource management and job control.
  • Design and implement distributed training infrastructure in Rust.
  • Build high-performance networking and coordination components.
  • Create infrastructure automation pipelines with Ansible.
  • Manage cloud resources and container orchestration.
  • Implement scheduling systems for heterogeneous CPU, GPU, and TPU hardware.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on backend features and platform capabilities.
  • Integrate new features into existing infrastructure while maintaining reliability and security.

Requirements

  • Strong Python backend development, including FastAPI and asynchronous programming.
  • Modern frontend development with TypeScript, React or Next.js, and Tailwind.
  • Experience building developer tools and dashboards.
  • RESTful API design and implementation.
  • Systems programming experience with Rust.
  • Infrastructure automation using Ansible or Terraform.
  • Container orchestration with Kubernetes.
  • Cloud platform experience, preferably Google Cloud.
  • Observability experience with Prometheus and Grafana.

Nice-to-haves

  • GPU computing and machine-learning infrastructure experience.
  • Knowledge of AI/ML model architecture and training.
  • High-performance networking implementation.
  • Open-source infrastructure contributions.
  • WebSocket and real-time systems experience.
