QA Engineer - Core Database
Build test automation, validate releases, and improve testing infrastructure for ClickHouse’s open-source database and Cloud distributed systems. The role requires strong SQL, programming, QA or release-engineering experience, and production debugging skills.

Responsibilities
- Build and enhance test automation frameworks and develop automated test cases.
- Test new features and ensure smooth production releases.
- Test cross-functional implementations across internal engineering teams.
- Implement testing strategies and automation for large, complex distributed systems.
- Evaluate new ClickHouse functionality for each release and identify codebase improvement opportunities.
- Engineer and improve testing infrastructure.
Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of SQL.
- Experience in an SDET, release engineering, or QA role involving a classical database or distributed system.
- Hands-on experience with a programming language such as Python, Go, or C++.
- Ability to read C++ code for validation.
- Working knowledge of Git, Linux, and shell scripting.
- Experience with both manual and automated testing.
- Strong production debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with remote and cross-functional engineering teams.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to learn complex technology quickly.
