Senior Contracts Manager

Manages and negotiates commercial contracts across customer, vendor, partner, and corporate functions for an enterprise SaaS company. Requires a bachelor's degree and at least seven years of commercial or corporate contracting experience.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, negotiate, and manage customer, vendor, marketing, software subscription, partner, professional services, procurement, event, sponsorship, statement of work, order form, amendment, and nondisclosure agreements.
  • Manage vendor contracts and software subscription renewals, including notice dates, pricing, renewal or termination decisions, obligations, and approvals.
  • Provide practical guidance on contract terms, risk, approvals, and negotiation strategy across business functions.
  • Negotiate customer and partner agreements while balancing legal and business risk with revenue goals.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, Product, Security, IT, Privacy, and People teams.
  • Manage multiple matters, communicate status, and maintain accurate contract records.
  • Apply and improve contracting playbooks, approval frameworks, clause libraries, templates, and escalation paths.
  • Use legal technology, including DraftPilot, to improve contract review efficiency while applying professional judgment.
  • Support contract lifecycle management, renewal tracking, reporting, and process improvements.
  • Monitor legal and market developments affecting enterprise SaaS transactions and update templates and guidance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; JD or another advanced legal qualification strongly preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressively responsible commercial or corporate contracting experience, preferably in enterprise SaaS or technology.
  • Experience with customer SaaS agreements, vendor and procurement contracts, marketing agreements, professional services, software subscriptions, and renewals.
  • Knowledge of intellectual property, confidentiality, warranties, indemnities, limitations of liability, data privacy, security, service levels, and implementation services.
  • Ability to identify and communicate risk, propose workable alternatives, and resolve negotiations promptly.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organization, prioritization, accuracy, and judgment in a high-volume workload.
  • Pragmatic, business-oriented approach and commitment to responsive internal client service.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience at a fast-growing enterprise software or technology company with a global customer base.
  • Familiarity with contract lifecycle management platforms, electronic signature tools, and legal operations practices.
  • Experience addressing global privacy and data protection requirements in commercial agreements.
  • Experience working across time zones with distributed, cross-functional teams.
  • Track record of improving templates, playbooks, intake processes, renewal tracking, or contracting metrics.
