Technical Program Manager, Safeguards – Infrastructure & Evals

What You’ll Do:

• Own the Safeguards Engineering ops review: Drive recurring cadence for incidents, reliability trends, and decisions.
• Drive incident tracking and post-mortem execution: Track incidents, ensure post-mortems, and close action items.
• Establish and maintain SLOs with partner teams: Define and track SLOs for safety-critical pipelines with teams like Inference.
• Maintain runbook quality and incident-ownership clarity: Keep runbooks updated and ownership clear for incidents.
• Drive platform migrations and infrastructure projects: Manage cross-team migrations and dependencies.
• Coordinate evals platform improvements: Scope work, track dependencies, and improve evaluation infrastructure.

You might be a good fit if you:

• Have solid technical program management experience in operational or infrastructure-heavy environments.
• Understand production ML systems for triaging incidents and technical discussions.
• Are energized by closing loops on post-mortems, SLOs, and runbooks.
• Can work effectively across team boundaries through influence and communication.
• Thrive in shifting between operations and new projects.
• Have experience or interest in AI safety.

Strong candidates may also:

• Have SRE practices, incident management, or on-call experience.
• Worked on ML evaluation infrastructure.
• Driven infrastructure migrations in complex environments.
• Familiar with monitoring tools like PagerDuty or Datadog.

Education requirements: At least a Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
