Technical Program Manager, Safeguards – Infrastructure & Evals
Owns operational reliability of AI safety infrastructure, driving incident response, SLOs, post-mortems, and platform migrations for safeguards engineering. Requires technical depth in ML systems and cross-team coordination.

What You’ll Do:
- Own the Safeguards Engineering ops review: Drive recurring cadence for incidents, reliability trends, and decisions.
- Drive incident tracking and post-mortem execution: Track incidents, ensure post-mortems, and close action items.
- Establish and maintain SLOs with partner teams: Define and track SLOs for safety-critical pipelines with teams like Inference.
- Maintain runbook quality and incident-ownership clarity: Keep runbooks updated and ownership clear for incidents.
- Drive platform migrations and infrastructure projects: Manage cross-team migrations and dependencies.
- Coordinate evals platform improvements: Scope work, track dependencies, and improve evaluation infrastructure.

- Have solid technical program management experience in operational or infrastructure-heavy environments.
- Understand production ML systems for triaging incidents and technical discussions.
- Are energized by closing loops on post-mortems, SLOs, and runbooks.
- Can work effectively across team boundaries through influence and communication.
- Thrive in shifting between operations and new projects.
- Have experience or interest in AI safety.
Strong candidates may also:
- Have SRE practices, incident management, or on-call experience.
- Worked on ML evaluation infrastructure.
- Driven infrastructure migrations in complex environments.
- Familiar with monitoring tools like PagerDuty or Datadog.
Education requirements: At least a Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
