Senior Director, Revenue Accounting & OTC Operations

Leads global revenue accounting and order-to-cash operations, overseeing revenue recognition, commissions, close, controls, audits, systems, and team development. Responsibilities

  • Lead global revenue accounting and OTC operations and shape the controllership roadmap.
  • Own accounting for revenue streams and commissions, including monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
  • Provide technical guidance on revenue recognition to executive leadership and GTM partners.
  • Collaborate with Data on ARR, NNARR, and ACV metrics reporting and with FP&A on forecasting assumptions.
  • Partner with GTM, Deal Management, Legal, and Product on contract structures, approval matrices, and scalable deal processes.
  • Strengthen internal controls, including SOX readiness, process documentation, control design, and remediation.
  • Manage annual external audits for revenue-related areas.
  • Design and execute scalable OTC workflows and system processes for a high-growth SaaS environment.
  • Partner with Technology teams and business stakeholders on ERP enhancements, integrations, and reporting improvements.
  • Build management reporting and KPIs for revenue accounting efficiency, quality, and capacity.
  • Mentor, develop, and retain a high-performing accounting team.
  • Balance strong governance with practical, business-oriented problem solving.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of progressive accounting experience, including Big 4 public accounting and industry leadership in a multi-entity, public-company SOX environment.
  • Experience improving ERP workflows, reporting, and automation across accounting processes.
  • Experience with NetSuite or a similar ERP, CPQ, and Salesforce (SFDC).
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, ASC 606, revenue cycle operations, internal controls, close processes, and financial reporting.
  • Experience leading teams through scale, process improvement, and organizational change.
  • Experience building and improving OTC cycle operations in a SaaS or technology company.
  • Track record of process transformation through automation, data, and AI-enabled solutions.
  • Ability to partner cross-functionally and influence Finance, Product, Legal, Sales, and executive leadership without direct authority.
  • Strong executive presence, judgment, and communication skills with senior leaders and auditors.
  • Ability to combine strategic leadership with detailed execution and ownership.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Zone 1 target pay: $214,800–$295,350 for San Francisco/Bay Area, NYC Metropolitan Area, Boston, and Seattle.
  • Zone 2 target pay: $193,400–$265,870 for Irvine, Los Angeles, Monterey, Santa Barbara, Santa Rosa, Austin, Portland, Philadelphia, and Chicago.
  • Zone 3 target pay: $182,600–$251,020 for all other U.S. locations.
  • Pay ranges include a 20% bonus target.
  • Benefits include restricted stock units, health, vision, dental, and mental health benefits.
