Responsibilities
- Lead the design and optimization of high-impact manufacturing processes across multiple programs.
- Drive production scale-up while balancing throughput, quality, and cost.
- Lead manufacturing engineering for the launch of a new production line supporting a next-generation jet.
- Scope and deploy production infrastructure, including manufacturing equipment, tooling, and hardware/software systems.
- Source and integrate capital equipment, production tools, and automation systems with vendors.
- Standardize and improve manufacturing performance at scale through cross-functional initiatives.
- Mentor engineers and production personnel.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- 7+ years of manufacturing engineering experience, preferably in rapid-growth environments.
- Experience scaling production processes in a startup or rapid-growth environment.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including machining, composites, avionics, and/or assembly.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma process-improvement methodologies.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Nice-to-haves
- Knowledge of AS9100 or ISO 9001 quality standards.
- Proficiency with CAD software.
- Familiarity with additive manufacturing or automation systems.
- Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and data-driven manufacturing decision-making.
- Hands-on experience with manufacturing equipment and tooling design.
- Strong project management skills and experience managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
