Responsibilities
- Design device architectures and tailor novel transistor structures to meet device specifications.
- Execute tape-outs and test key designs.
- Perform electrical characterization, including I-V/C-V measurements, on transistors and MOSCAPs across process splits.
- Analyze complex electrical and physical data to identify bottlenecks and inform material and process-flow improvements.
- Extract core device parameters to build foundational technology performance models.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, Solid State Physics, or a closely related field.
- Rigorous understanding of advanced CMOS/MOSFET device physics and solid-state electronics fundamentals.
- Extensive experience with semiconductor device measurement and probe station operation.
- Strong data analysis and scripting skills.
- Ability to clearly communicate complex device physics concepts to cross-functional partners.
Nice-to-haves
- Familiarity with semiconductor simulation software such as TCAD and HSPICE.
- Experience with Process Design Kits (PDKs) or test-chip layout.
- Proficiency in Python or MATLAB for test automation and large-scale data analysis.
- Hands-on cleanroom experience and comprehensive understanding of the CMOS manufacturing process flow.
- Experience with semiconductor reliability testing, including HCI, NBTI/PBTI, and TDDB.
