Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end release management process for the Data Technology team, from planning through deployment and post-release review.
  • Define release scope with engineering leads and product management, prioritizing features, fixes, and technical work.
  • Develop, maintain, and communicate release plans and schedules across cross-functional teams.
  • Track dependencies, risks, critical paths, milestones, blockers, and release readiness.
  • Adapt and enhance internal release tooling to improve automation and reliability in the release pipeline.
  • Coordinate code freezes, testing sign-off, deployment checklists, and rollback planning.
  • Report release status and risks to stakeholders with mitigation plans.
  • Lead release retrospectives and drive continuous improvement.
  • Use AWS and cloud-infrastructure knowledge to communicate deployment and pipeline requirements.
  • Foster collaboration, communication, and problem-solving across the team.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of technical project management experience in a technology or SaaS company, including release management or software delivery.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience managing releases or deployments in a cloud environment.
  • Experience with release tooling, CI/CD pipelines, or deployment automation; internal-tool improvement experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple releases with varied timelines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines.
