Responsibilities
- Drive system design decisions around data modeling, performance, correctness, and reliability
- Identify scaling bottlenecks before they become problems
- Ensure systems are performant, observable, secure, and resilient under real-world production load across infrastructure (Vercel, AWS, Turbopuffer)
- Mentor engineers through in-depth code reviews and high-level architectural discussions
- Partner closely with product designers, backend, and frontend engineers working in TypeScript and Next.js to define polished interfaces and slick user experiences
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to solve technical problems with customers
- Experience building open source
- Strong taste and focus on developer experience as a craft
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience building with TypeScript
