Physical Security Engineer, R&D
Design, produce build packages for, integrate, and support deployment of physical security systems (access control, video, intrusion, perimeter) for AI data centers. Requires hands-on experience engineering these systems for critical facilities and coordinating with electrical/IT teams.
About the job
Role Scope
- Engineer physical security systems in the reference design: access control, video, intrusion, and perimeter detail by detail.
- Produce the design packages: drawings, device schedules, and specs the integrators build from.
- Integrate the systems: security platforms tied into site networks, monitoring, and identity.
- Support deployment: site surveys, punch walks, and acceptance testing on your own designs.
What We're Looking For
- You've designed or engineered physical security systems for commercial or critical facilities.
- You produce buildable packages: riser diagrams, device layouts, and schedules.
- You've configured and tested access control and VMS platforms hands-on.
- You coordinate with electrical and IT design instead of clashing with it.
- You've supported installs and closed the punch yourself.
Bonus: Lenel, Genetec, or equivalent platforms. Data center security standards. Network fundamentals. CAD or Revit fluency.
