Lead Specialist Solutions Architect - Lakebase

Leads technical strategy, value selling, and Databricks adoption for major Retail and CPG enterprise accounts. The role requires extensive enterprise experience, pre-sales expertise, big data and cloud knowledge, production programming skills, and the ability to drive data-driven transformation.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main technical voice for 1–5 clients in the Retail and CPG space.
  • Partner with the Account Executive to define and direct technical strategy for large enterprise accounts.
  • Lead customers through evaluating and adopting Databricks as part of their data and AI strategy.
  • Implement account technical strategy and align it around Databricks solutions.
  • Build a network of technical champions within customer accounts.
  • Apply value selling, technical account management, and technical leadership to drive adoption of ML and AI.
  • Provide structured mentorship to other team members.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience working with very large accounts in the Retail and CPG space.
  • 4+ years of experience in pre-sales or supporting sales activity.
  • Technical expertise in big data, data science, and cloud technologies.
  • Experience driving data-driven business transformation and organizational change.
  • 4+ years of design and implementation experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, NoSQL, MPP, OLTP, and OLAP, or full-lifecycle data science solutions.
  • Experience maintaining and extending production data systems for complex customer needs.
  • Production programming experience in Python, R, Scala, or Java.

Nice to Have

  • Databricks Certification.

Compensation

  • Local pay range: $219,100–$301,300 USD.
  • Total compensation may include an annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits.
