Responsibilities
- Identify where emerging AI capabilities could improve outcomes for underserved populations.
- Work with researchers to understand emerging capabilities and their implications for users.
- Build prototypes to validate ideas before committing resources.
- Lead 0-to-1 product development from research and internal prototypes through shipped products.
- Define product strategy, vision, roadmaps, and execution for experimental frontier-technology initiatives.
- Build MVPs and prototypes to validate product-market fit efficiently.
- Design and run programs that give beneficial organizations access to Claude.
- Identify and remove barriers preventing organizations from successfully deploying Claude.
Requirements
- Shipped products at a large technology company and collaborated with engineering, legal, policy, and go-to-market teams at scale.
- Deep technical background and experience shipping technical products with engineering teams.
- Track record of products or programs reaching a large number of users or organizations.
- Ability to execute amid ambiguity, adapt to new domains, and find simple solutions.
- Ability to assess the risks and benefits of emerging technologies beyond existing checklists and playbooks.
- Hands-on engagement with emerging research and AI prototyping tools such as Claude Code.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in a relevant field.
Nice-to-haves
- 5+ years of product management or equivalent operating experience, including launching new products and scaling existing ones.
- Experience working in a civic institution, public agency, nonprofit, or other beneficial organization.
- Founded a company or organization, or was among the first people building one.
Compensation
- Annual salary: $385,000–$460,000 USD.
