About the role

Responsibilities

  • Own a product area within New Markets and Monetization, partnering day to day with engineering and design.
  • Build partner and platform billing systems for usage metering, attribution, billing, and program terms across partners, resellers, and platforms.
  • Develop spend observability and controls for enterprise buyers, including programmatic limits and controls.
  • Create a unified account and startup path spanning the API and Claude subscriptions, including shared login and wallet experiences.
  • Define platform strategy and product bets for specific industries, working with product and go-to-market partners.
  • Ship on primitives owned by Billing Platform and Auth & Identity teams, collaborating with Growth, Go-to-Market, Startups, Legal, Finance, and Data Science.
  • Structure pricing, revenue attribution, partner terms, and startup program terms with Finance, Legal, and Business Development.
  • Engage enterprise buyers, startup builders, partners, resellers, embedded-platform providers, and industry customers to inform the roadmap.
  • Own outcome metrics, including business outside coding, startup revenue, unified API and subscription volume, and partner-booked volume.
  • Define instrumentation and analyze whether shipped products improve target metrics.
  • Write strategy, specifications, and analysis.

Requirements

  • End-to-end ownership of a developer platform, API, billing or money-movement product, or self-serve growth product, with accountability for revenue or activation.
  • Experience building with or shipping products on large language models, including an understanding of billing, identity, or distribution when customers may be agents.
  • Technical fluency with API documentation, billing, identity, attribution, and platform primitives.
  • Ability to use SQL or equivalent to define metrics, build funnels, and size markets.
  • Experience negotiating pricing, revenue share, or program terms with Finance, Legal, or Business Development.
  • Strong written communication for technical, executive, and external-partner audiences.
  • Commitment to Anthropic’s mission and to creating shared value for platform builders.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in a relevant field, or equivalent relevant professional preparation.

Nice-to-haves

  • 8+ years of product management experience.
  • Experience with metering, usage attribution, reseller or cloud marketplace channels, or enterprise spend management.
  • Experience taking a developer platform into a new industry, particularly healthcare, life sciences, financial services, or another regulated industry.
  • Experience growing a developer product’s self-serve or startup business, including pricing and packaging.
  • Experience building account, identity, or subscription systems spanning multiple products.
  • Experience taking a product from zero to one while defining users, product scope, and economics.

Compensation

  • Annual compensation range: $305,000–$385,000 USD.
