Responsibilities
Manage and develop a team of two through skill-building, career growth, and day-to-day performance.
Lead complex, cross-functional procurement projects, setting priorities and anticipating blockers.
Collaborate with FP&A, Security, IT, and Legal on purchasing processes and improvements.
Build strategic relationships with vendors and technology partners to secure discounts and maximize value.
Identify opportunities to improve procurement outcomes through better processes, AI, and emerging tools.
Lead procurement process improvement initiatives.
Train Mixpanel employees involved in procuring products and services.
Shape and communicate the procurement team's vision in support of Operational Finance goals.
Requirements
5+ years of experience as a Procurement Specialist or Procurement Manager, including experience managing or directly leading others.
Experience working for SaaS companies and directly with vendors.
Experience with procurement improvement initiatives.
Understanding of market dynamics and sound business judgment.
Experience managing and mitigating risk.
Strong data management and analytics skills, including gathering, cleaning, and interpreting data.
Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills, internally and externally.
Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Track record of coaching and developing team members, managing performance, and building high-performing teams.
Adaptability, agility, resilience, strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and drive to excel.
