Leads organization-wide Snowflake migration, Medallion architecture, warehouse optimization, and CI/CD quality controls while partnering with executives on data strategy. Responsibilities
- Lead the migration to Snowflake and establish Medallion architecture playbooks for domain engineering teams.
- Define data-platform architecture, data contracts, intake guardrails, and technical boundaries with business and executive stakeholders.
- Govern Snowflake compute costs, warehouse performance, and cloud-infrastructure financial and operational baselines.
- Design and enforce automated GitHub CI/CD testing gates to detect query regressions, schema anomalies, and inefficient code.
- Scale AI-assisted engineering tools, including prompt banks, AI code reviews, and automated boilerplate generation.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional experience in analytics engineering, data architecture, or data engineering.
- Experience architecting, optimizing, or migrating modern cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery across multiple business domains.
- Expert SQL proficiency and production experience with Medallion data models.
- 2+ years of hands-on dbt experience building, orchestrating, and testing production ELT pipelines.
- Deep expertise in production Git workflows and automated CI/CD testing gates.
- Experience connecting technical execution with business strategy, surfacing risks, evaluating trade-offs, and negotiating intake guardrails.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience scaling AI-assisted tools across engineering teams.
- Experience integrating with headless BI semantic layers such as Cube.dev and downstream AI-agent workflows such as LibreChat.
- Experience with HIPAA-compliant environments, electronic health records, or digital health operations.
- Knowledge of RBAC, hashing, and masking for sensitive clinical data.
- Experience managing changing business processes and schema drift.
- Basic Python proficiency for pipeline and tool orchestration.
Compensation & Benefits
- ATS-listed salary range: $180,000–$221,000.
- Fully remote work environment for employees based in the United States; Hawaii is currently excluded.
