About the role
Responsibilities
Own product direction for the Brex Assistant — the strategy, the roadmap, and the day-to-day calls on what ships.
Define agent capabilities that take real actions for users, and translate messy real-world expense and spend workflows into reliable agent behaviors.
Invent the "how": design the evals, prompting approaches, and feedback loops that make the agent dependable — and re-invent them as the underlying models and tooling shift.
Get hands-on. Prototype, measure, read transcripts, and iterate quickly toward what actually works rather than what looks good in a demo.
Talk to users constantly, and let real usage — not assumptions — drive the next iteration.
Set and defend a high quality bar for an agent operating in a trust-critical, financial context.
Requirements
5-7 years of relevant experience as a product manager with a track record of owning complex, user-facing products end to end.
Experience building and shipping LLM/agent features to real users with hands-on depth in prompting, eval design, and iterating based on measurement.
Thrive in ambiguity; experience owning early-stage products or initiatives independently, working closely with engineering and design.
Strong product taste and judgment.
Ability to move fast, prototype, analyze data, and dive into details.
Nice-to-Haves
Experience building conversational, chat-native, or SMS-based products.
Familiarity with fintech, expense management, or spend workflows.
Compensation
Expected salary range: $184,000 - $230,000 base (depends on location, skills, experience, and internal pay parity).
Equity and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of total compensation.
