Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

  • Build, scale, and lead a world-class global team in a high-growth SaaS environment
  • Foster a culture of creativity, rigor, and cross-functional collaboration; lead through vision, strategic clarity, and accountability
  • Serve as a strategic advisor and thought partner to Marketing, Sales, and Product leaders

Corporate Messaging & Positioning

  • Own the development of innovative, differentiated messaging and value propositions across product lines and corporate strategy
  • Develop, test, and evangelize Okta's messaging and positioning, ensuring it's clear, differentiated, and aligned across every touchpoint
  • Define and evolve Okta's corporate narrative, key messaging frameworks, and competitive positioning across all audiences and channels
  • Partner with Product, Sales, and executive leadership to translate strategic vision and product innovation into compelling market narratives

Content Strategy & Production

  • Own the strategy and oversight of high-impact content across multiple formats, channels, and audience segments (executives, practitioners, partners, analysts)
  • Build scalable content frameworks—including editorial calendars, production processes, and quality standards—that fuel demand generation and thought leadership
  • Lead the development of strategic content assets (whitepapers, case studies, research reports, executive briefings) that drive pipeline and brand credibility
  • Experiment with emerging tools, technologies, and AI platforms to drive innovation and efficiency within the team's output

External Influence & Market Presence

  • Represent Okta with industry analysts; shape their understanding of our strategy and differentiation
  • Conduct regular customer engagement activities that inform product positioning, messaging evolution
  • Leverage customer insights to build powerful case studies, testimonials, and reference programs
  • Own the keynote and content strategy for Okta's major global events and conferences, ensuring compelling narrative and thought leadership positioning

Experience & Qualifications

  • 10+ years in senior marketing leadership roles in enterprise SaaS or cloud technology, with significant experience in corporate messaging, content strategy, and analyst relations
  • Proven success building and scaling teams in high-growth, complex environments while maintaining high standards across deliverables and demonstrating strong commitment to content quality and craft
  • Deep expertise in corporate positioning, content strategy, and analyst relations programs that drive market influence and business outcomes, with strong understanding of analyst landscape, industry trends, and competitive dynamics
  • Thinks in slides and can take a concept or conversation and translate it into compelling visual narratives and talk tracks that land with audiences; skilled at designing presentations from concept to stage-ready (keynotes, first-call decks) with the ability to synthesize feedback from multiple stakeholders and tailor messaging to speakers and audiences
  • Strong cross-functional leadership capabilities — skilled at leading through matrix relationships, influencing executives, and managing multiple stakeholders, priorities, and projects in fast-paced environments
  • Forward-thinking operator with comfort working with emerging technologies and willingness to experiment with new tools to drive efficiency and innovation
