Responsibilities
Perform advanced data analytics and advise on underwriting strategies for loan origination, loan amount assignment, and loan pricing to optimize profitability.
Work cross-functionally with Tech, Product, Sales, and Finance teams to implement new credit product initiatives and optimize existing credit strategies.
Own credit policy documentation and enhance policies and processes to mitigate credit risk exposure.
Design and monitor key performance indicators to provide insights into the credit lifecycle.
Maintain quality control and validation to ensure risk processes operate as expected.
Collaborate with the portfolio risk team to track credit performance and manage the portfolio within the organization’s risk appetite.
Develop business insights and communicate proposals to C-level audiences and external partners.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, econometrics, decision sciences, or engineering; an advanced degree is preferred.
Strong understanding of consumer credit and the lending lifecycle.
4+ years of experience performing credit analysis.
Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
Hands-on experience with Python, SQL, and Excel.
Ability to take analyses from raw data to polished recommendations and communicate complex technical findings to broad audiences.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
