About the role

Your day to day is…

  • Administering Zocdoc's employee benefit programs — medical, dental, vision, life, disability, wellness, FSAs, HSAs, COBRA, retirement, commuter, and voluntary benefits
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for employees navigating benefits questions, qualifying life events, new hire enrollments, terminations, and dependent verification — delivering a high-touch experience at every step
  • Administering leave of absence programs in partnership with Zocdoc's leave administrator, including FMLA, ADA, state leave programs, paid family leave, workers' compensation, and short-term disability
  • Performing regular audits of benefit eligibility, payroll deductions, vendor files, invoices, and system integrations to maintain data integrity and financial accuracy
  • Reconciling monthly benefit invoices and partnering with Payroll and Finance to resolve discrepancies quickly and accurately
  • Supporting annual Open Enrollment from system configuration testing through employee education sessions and post-enrollment auditing
  • Maintaining compliance with ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, Section 125, Medicare reporting, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations — and supporting Form 5500 filings, nondiscrimination testing, and other annual activities
  • Developing and maintaining employee-facing documentation, benefit guides, and knowledge articles that make our programs easy to understand and navigate
  • Identifying opportunities to automate processes, leverage AI tools, improve reporting, and continuously elevate the overall employee experience

  • A strong working knowledge of federal and state benefits regulations — COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, ERISA, ACA — and the confidence to interpret and apply them accurately
  • A compassionate but consultative approach with employees and vendors, with the communication skills to make complex benefits topics feel accessible
  • Superb attention to detail and organizational skills — you believe accurate data is the foundation of a trustworthy benefits program
