About the job
Responsibilities
- Develop supplier capability hands-on: process audits, capability studies, and improvement plans executed at supplier sites.
- Qualify new suppliers and parts: first articles, PPAP-style approvals, and launch support through ramp.
- Attack supplier quality issues at root cause, on their floor, with their team.
- Build supplier capacity ahead of demand: bottlenecks found and fixed before they gate our line.
Requirements
- Experience in supplier quality or development engineering in manufacturing.
- Audit processes for capability, controls, and culture.
- Fixed a supplier problem at their site (not managed by email).
- Run first articles and PPAP with rigor and speed.
- Improve suppliers without doing their job for them.
Nice-to-Haves
